„Animation in dance and dance in animation”
In this master class I will touch on the topic of the relationship between the arts of animation and dance. As a basis, I will use my experience in working on my author‘s film „Fire Bird“ (2017). I will talk about the idea of using dance in the film and how it plays a fundamental role in the dramaturgy. I will talk about my work with dancers and choreographer Galina Srebreva. And then I‘ll reveal more about the whole process of animating the dance moves of the characters from the film, overcoming some physical laws and reincarnating the dance in a non-existent magical world.
